SIZING: I make my covers slightly smaller than advertised size so they fit most inserts. For example, an 18x18 cover actually measures around 17 x 17 so it will snugly fit an 18x18 insert.

INSERTS: I like the forms sold at www.Joanns.com. I like the Soft n Crafty brand (synthetic poly-fill) or the Home Elegance brand (down alternative). There's also a company online called Pillowflex that sell a variety of forms. Be sure to go to their retail page- I LOVE their synthetic down forms. The poly-cotton forms are also a good less expensive alternative.
